The Mediation Education Class is a half-hour class that provides you with information on mediation and how it works.
The Mediation Education Class is not a mediation session with a mediator and your ex.
Class Details
- Who is required to attend: You are required to attend this class if you are involved in a divorce or separation case. You can attend the class separately.
- What: This class will help you prepare for mediation.
- Time: This is a 1/2-hour class.
- When: You are required to attend this class within 45 days of the date the petition was filed. This class is held various times including Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
- Where: Anamosa, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, North Liberty, Tama, Vinton, Williamsburg: You only attend ONE class. See the Class Locations and Schedule below.
- Cost: $20 per person. Payment is due just before the class starts. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early so you can pay before the class starts.
- How to Register: Look at the schedule below and decide which time and location works best for you.
